targets

I think the bottom circular target works the best... it's simple and looks good. Otherwise it's going to look too patchwork. I will get the sounds up soon.

we can change it and ill try out some other ideas but just thought id put up wot id done so far!
o yer and thats the nottingham logo which im going to try and incorporate into the title! x

possible title ideas

oooo it looks really good!
i was thinking the site title could be...
"The trail of Robin Hood"
'Follow the trail of the outlaw documenting your journey at the 6 photo booths placed around nottingham.'
or something like that... im just haveing a play around with the typeography at the moment! x

Opening Screen artwork?

What do you think? I'm quite happy with it. The type is Arial in bold. I used the poster edges effect after I merged the layers.

Jobs allocated today

After this morning meeting the chores list was split like this...

Hattie : Typography and logo (eg Nottm Tourist office)
Nonna : sketches for the themed booths
Katie : pick 6 main characters from the Robin Hood legend (good quality photos that could be "pop arted" would be great)
Anita : opening screens as discussed

See you all in Bonington Cafe 11:30 Tues

Thursdays meeting

Where were you all? Bit embarrassing being the only one to turn up :(

Notes from the meeting are as follows...

The scrapbook idea seemed like a lot to do in such a short space of time and didn't necessarily tie it into Nottm all that well.

Alternative ideas were for:
1. Robin to be going round the booths and recording his different disguises - we might need a male volunteer for that!
2. Robin going round robbing from the booths.
3. Something about tourists/fans to get dressed up and having their pics taken. Think along the lines of Elvis and Las Vegas maybe. Each booth could be themed and have a different background (forest, castle, dungeon etc) so they'd have to visit them all to collect the set.

The Pop Art style went down well. Could be a really interesting style if mixed in with photography and/or other elements.

Anyway, I think we should go with the last idea. I can work on a map and I've also got some ideas for a little game. So if i get on with that can the rest of you draw up some ideas for two booths each?

Nonna could you do a forest and a dungeon?
Katie please do a castle and archery range/competition.
Hattie perhaps a treasury and Robin's camp.

If you come up with something better to illustrate post it so we're not duplicating ideas.

Please post up any ideas so we're all playing the same tune :)

Sorry if this has got a bit bossy - but I had to make decisions in your absence and time is getting away.

Hope you have a happy and productive weekend.

19th, monday, some notes

SOME IDEAS:

=> POP ART - Roy Lichtenstein's comic imaginery

- Sounds could be important (the sounds of the place, for ex. in Tesco the "pip, pip, pip" of the cash or in the train station...)

- Real/Fail images (pop art again) --> drawing style or comic style? we have to try.

- Use a train ticket to put the train station info or a shop's recive for the victoria's centre photo booth...

- Notebook (we have to do some recearch to how to change the page. http://www.silviaprada.com/home.html

- Modern Robin Hood

- Robin Hood old images:

Turning Pages

Apparently you can get the source code for making pages turn in Flash.
I guess that the whole site would have to be done in Flash though and I really don't fancy taking that task on with only 2 weeks left!

Anyways, if you're still interested theres loads of information about it. Try here first

Photo's

Hello Ladies!

Nonna and I went round the city photographing all the booths we could find. Nonna said she'll post a selection when she's able. I'm logging the locations on a map and will post when finished.

Any ideas for other material to bring in for Monday? We need as much stuff as possible.

Have a good weekend :)

Here a list of locations of Photo Me booths in Notts

These ones only give you the same image over and over again, they don't give you four different images... Will try and find out if there are any old machines left in Nottingham, as I think there is something more spontaneous about these images. Any how....

Another link re photobooth art

Look at this link

I looked at this site for the interactive form we filled out, awesome site once you start looking at the different works, and this one in particular stood out to me... not sure how it relates to this project, but get you think about imagery and the sense of journey, sound and time passing....

Tomorrow

Meeting tomorrow at outside Waverly. Think we shold maybe split up after and try and cover as much gound as possible as it doesn't make much sense to go round in one big group. Will try and find out if there is any listings for photobooths in Nottingham. The train centre, Vic centre, bus centre, student union and post office are obvious places... so will see if there are any in random places as think that would make it slightly more interesting! Over and out.
